Based on two groups of four-pile field tests on a multi-type-pile composite foundation, the pile-soil stress, load sharing mechanism and its development character of the multi-type-pile composite foundation are analyzed. Based on the test results of horizontal displacement of deep soils in multi-type-pile stress and loading process, the theory of stress diffusion angle of the multi-type-pile composite foundation is discussed. The problems of stress compound method in calculating parameters for the bearing capacity of composite foundations are discussed. This work will contribute to the theoretical and technical development of the composite foundation. Moreover, to solve these problems needs effective tests and filed measurements in the future.

This thesis draws on the engineering practice of jacked micro-pile composite foundation and analyzes the soil-pile interaction mechanism and bearing capacity participation coefficient. The bearing capacity calculation model of composite foundation substratum is validated. Results show that there is strong interaction between pile. In the process of composite foundation bearing capacity checking computations,the stress diffusing model is employed,and stress diffusion angle is recommendedφ′.

In order to study the mechanism of using composite pile to reinforce liquescent soil foun-dation, three models, including un-reinforced foundation, foundation reinforced by gravel pile and steel pipe pile, foundation reinforced by cement pile and steel pipe pile were prepared, and simula-ted seismic load was applied by the shaking table test. Pressure-time curve of excess pore water in different depth and pressure-time curve of earth in different depth were sorted out from the data col-lected by the data acquisition system in the three models during the vibration of foundations. The test results show that the pressure of excess pore water of the un-reinforced and foundation reinforced by cement pile and steel pipe pile was increased to the peak around 7 kPa and the pressure remained 7 kPa until the end of the test. The pressure of excess pore water of the foundation reinforced by gravel pile and steel pipe pile was increased to the peak around 5 kPa and it was reduced to about 2. 5 kPa

The load transfer law and the influence of pile length and replacement ratio on composite foundation bearing capacity were also researched.

The ram-compaction is a new pile type emerged in recent years, has been widely applied in foundation treatment. Based on a teaching building reinforcement engineering in Hubei after the testing and monitoring of ram-compaction, to evaluate the strengthening effect of ram-compaction, so as to do research on the following several aspects:the ram compaction piles with compos-ite bearing base pile reinforcement mechanism, pile and soil interaction characteristics of tamping reamed pile together, failure mode and engineering properties etc. .
