通过对毛泽东词《十六字令三首》六种英译文本进行剖析，讨论了毛泽东诗词英译实践中存在的普遍性问题，并提出格律诗的翻译策略，以期为毛泽东诗词乃至中国古典诗词英译的改进提供借鉴。
The present paper deals with the various problems in the Chinese‐English translation of Mao Ze‐dong Poems through a comparative study on six published translation texts of Sixteen‐Character Ci‐poem · Mountains ,a well‐known suite Ci‐poems written by Mao Zedong during Long March ,from which the translation strategies which can overcome these problems are generalized .It is expected that such strategies could also serve as reference to the practice of English translation of Chinese metrical poems .

Their translations are quite different in many ways, bubbling with distinct flavor, and it s meaningful to compare the different versions. This article tries to compare and contrast Mao Zedong s Qinyuanchun Changsha in the target language from the perspectives of modality, aesthetics and culture, in order for the readers to appreciate the importance of emotional loyalty, aesthetic feeling, and cultural context.
