In the present study, the operating principle, system composition, bubble generation characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of DAF and CAF were comparatively analyzed, and applicable occasions for each flotation process were suggested. As the result, it was concluded that the selection of an appropriate flotation process should be based on the wastewater characteristics.

The finite volume method was used to study the bearing characteristics of the air bearing with three degree of freedom special-shaped throttling cavity. Based on the internal flow field simulation analysis,the effect of rotating speed and gas pressure on the bearing characteristics of air bearing was discussed,and the carrying capacity of the air bearing with special-shaped throttling cavity and conventional throttling cavity was compared. The results show that the carrying capacity of the air bearing with three degree of freedom special-shaped throttling cavity has a nonlinear relationship with gas pressure and rotating speed,in order to get the optimal value of carrying capacity,the gas supply pressure and bearing speed should be limited. Compared with the conventional throttling cavity structure,the special-shaped throttling cavity structure can improve the carrying capacity of air bearing.

Significant amounts of oil-containing waste water are discharged in industrial processes, and it is difficult to separate the oil/water mixture. In this paper, a concept of air-lift loop was introduced to traditional flotation process to treat oil-containing water. In the experiment, oil-in-water emulsion was produced by ultrasound, and the flotation agent for this system was optimized first, as poly(acrylamide-co-diallyldimethyl ammonium chloride) (PDA). Then, the effect of different conditions in the loop flotation process was investigated. When air flow rate was 250 L·h?1, liquid flow rate was 10 L·h?1, liquid level was 6 cm, amount of PDA was 20 mg·L?1, oil removal rate was the highest. Concentration of oil was reduced from 900 mg·L?1 to 100 mg·L?1 and the highest efficiency was 90.48%. Traditional gas floating process and the ozone senior oxidation technique were combined to treat tank cleaning wastewater. The operation condition and treatment effect were analyzed through tests, gas floating - ozone advanced oxidation process for treating oily waste water was formed. This process can realize gas floating oil removal,ozone oxidation and disinfection, remove organic pollutant. Effluent water quality can meet the national standard emission requirements.
