The magnetic field refraction theory and the corresponding finite element model was carried out to analyze the magnetic field distribution of the upset transition zone .The background magnetic field caused by radius changing and the non-uniformity of magnetization caused by wall thickness changing are the main features of the upset transition zone .Then ,the background field caused by ra-dius changing was confirmed to be the reason for baseline shifting ,and this effect was eliminated by the differentiation method .At the same time ,the non-uniformity of magnetization caused by wall thickness changing was found to be the reason which makes the magnitudes of leakage field different for the defects with same dimension .After analyzing the influence of wall thickness and magnetization on magnetic leakage field ,a deep magnetic saturation method was proposed .The results show that this method can effectively eliminate the background field in the upset transition zone and guarantee the cons

To accurately master the magnetic characteristics of switched reluctance motor (SRM), a two-dimensional model was built. By using finite element method, magnetic distribution and its parameters were calculated in this paper. The results shows that when the stator pole and rotor tooth do not overlap, analysis results of the finite element method has a large error due to the effect of the end magnetic field, relative error is about 40%; with the increase of the overlap ratio, the finite element calculation error reduced gradually; they overlap totally, the magnetic flux leakage is very small-almost zero. The research results provide a certain theoretical reference for the optimization of the SRM.

The magnetic circuit of giant magnetostrictive actuator(GMA) was analysed and optimized with finite element software ANSYS.According to the design goals of high homogeneity of magnetic field and low magnetic flux leakage,a novel magnetic circuit biased by the combination of built-in permanent magnets was proposed in the base of compensation principle of dual-permanent magnets with contrary polarity.Magnetic field along the direction of the length of giant magnetostrictive rod was homogeneous,while well-closed magnetic circuits were informed in both biased magnetic field and driving magnetic field.According to the results from ANSYS analysis,the unevenness of the bias magnetic field and driving magnetic field is 3.51% and 8.73% respectively,which are less than 10%.The total magnetic leakage in the specified location(7 cm from the GMA) is 30.4A/m,meeting the standard of practical application(80A/m).

In order to avoid the magnetic flux leakage of winding cylinder of DSMRD,the magnet-ic field simulation models under different winding cylinder materials were built up to investigate the relationships between the magnetic flux leakage and three winding cylinders made by different kinds of materials.The simulation results show that winding cylinder made by No.1 0 steel mate-rial has stronger ability to reduce flux leakage than the winding cylinder made by aluminum and stainless steel materials,and the winding cylinders made by aluminum and stainless steel materi-als have nearly same magnetic field intensity and induced voltage.The simulation results can provide some guidance to optimize magnetic field by finding a suitable winding cylinder material.

TFPM machine has been widely studied in the field of motor with the merits of low speed and large torque density characteristics.However, power factor of TFPM is low because of the TFPM motor structure charac -teristics and other factors.In this paper, we design a novel TFPM motor, which we believe can have a higher torque without increasing the current density and magnetic air -gap.Section 2 and 3 of the full paper describe the mathematical model and use Maxwell 3D finite element analysis software to obtain simulation results , which, togeth-er with their analysis, show preliminarily that the novel TFPM motor structure can indeed improve the performance effectively.

A variable flux permanent magnet synchronous motor (VFPMSM) with mechanical device is proposed for field regulation. By introducing the concepts of VFPMSM and flux control with mechanical device, some typical topological structures of VFPMSM are presented, of which the magnetic circuit and operation principles are analyzed. Additionally, the comparisons of comprehensive characteristics of it are obtained. The results show that the displaced-rotors axial VFPMSM has some advantages such as the better flux-weakening ability, less magnetic flux -leakage, higher efficiency and simple manufacturing process comparing with other topologies.

YIG-tuned devices is widely used in modern electronic countermeasures system, but their flux leakage characteristic is seldom reported. In this paper,modeling and simulation is given for flux leakage distribution of YIG-tuned device by Maxwell 3D softwere, providing a quantitative analysis of field leakage distribution. The analysis result supplies a design reference for anti-flux-leakage disturbance in engineering applications of YIG-tuned devices. Additionally, this research is of guidance for degrading the flux leakage disturbance of YIG-tuned device, and resultantly improving the performance of overall unit related to the YIG-tuned devices.
