An analytic hierarchy process, basing on the attribute and fault statistics data of water supply network of a southern city, is conducted to determine the weight of each factor that affecting the explosion and leakages of the network, and recommend that pipe diameter can be used as the key factor of network fault interpretation. Basing on the pipe diame-ter factor, a pipeline failure rate model is established using SPSS software. The model was sectional established at DN400 and it has satisfactory fitting performance as its mean error was 3.18%. This failure rate model can quantitatively explain the effect of the diameter factor in the pipe network fault diagnosis, and it can be introduced as a constraint to the opti-mization design process of large water supply network.It explores the crucial effect of pipe diameter on controlling network fault which has been a difficult and complicated issue for a long time.

OcjectiVe The report is to observe the changes of duct diameter and thickness of breast among four ultrasonic patterns of the normal resting stage breasts in adult females by high-resolution ultrasound,and to investigate the correlation of breast ultrasonography with breast cancer. Methods The ultrasonic patterns were classified into four categories:duct type,miXture type,density type and inhomogeneous type according to proportion of glandular duct,fibrous and fatty of breast contents. Breast thickness and duct diameter of bilateral sides were measured and recorded for a statistical analysis. Using first-principles calculations based on the density functional theory, we systematically study the geometry structure, electronic structure and optical properties of the small size (n, 0)-type TiO2 nanotubes (D <16 ?) derived from anatase. The calculation results indicate that the formation energy of each TiO2 unit decreases with the diameter increasing, and the nanotubes become more stable. At a diameter of about 14 ?, a configuration change occurs. Band structure analysis shows that electronic states of TiO2 nanotubes are localized, and the conductivity is better for nanotubes with small diameters (D <14 ?).
