ObjectiveTo discuss the role of transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 (TRPV 1) in the regulation effect of electroacupuncture on gastric motility.MethodTRPV1 gene knock-out mice (KO mice) and wild-type C57BL/6 mice (WT mice) were selected to receive acupuncture at Zusanli (ST36),Quchi (LI11), Zhongwan (CV12), and Weishu (BL21), and the intragastric pressure was observed before and after acupuncture.ResultElectroacupuncture at Zusanli caused both excitation and inhibition in WT mice, predominated by mild excitation, while electroacupuncture at Weishu, Quchi and Zhongwan all caused inhibition effect; in the KO mice, electroacupuncture at Zusanli, Quchi, Zhongwan, and Weishu all inhibited gastric motility.Conclusion TRPV1 bears certain regulating effect on gastric motility, andacupuncture can inhibit the gastric motility in TRPV gene KO mice.

BACKGROUND:Chinese herb for anti-inflammation, blood circulation promotion and spasmolysis can repair the kidney, supply renal blood, reduce the permeability of the glomerular capil aries, and enhance renal filtration function.OBJECTIVE:To explore the effects of a Chinese herb for anti-inflammation, blood circulation promotion and spasmolysis on ultrastructure of renal cells and a-smooth muscle actin in rats after 4-week exhaustive exercise living at simulated altitude of 4 000 meters. METHODThirty-two rats which could complete 15-minute adaptive run on the treadmil at a speed of 10 m/min were enrol ed and randomized into normal control group, exhaustive exercise group, exhaustive exercise+high-altitude group and exhaustive exercise+Chinese herb group, eight rats in each group. Objective:to study the mechanism of rats'' weight and exercise capacity influenced by usnic extracts under great intensive en-durance training. Provide experimental basis for usnea extract as sport supplements. Methods:24 male SD rats are taken as the research object, which are randomly divided into three groups- quiet group, sport group and a group of combination of sport and drug-with each eight male rats. Objective:To study the action of Weixiao granule on gastralgia and gastrospasm. Methods:Isolated rat intestine was selected in the assay to test the effects of Weixiao granule on contractilty of isolated rat gastric and intestine smooth muscle strips;With acetic acid induced mice writhing response model,analgesic effect of Weixiao granule was deterrmined.;The anti-inflammatory activity was evaluated with the circumference of rat ankle joint induced by carrageenin. Results:Weixiao granule could significantly improved the contractility of rat gastric and intestine smooth muscle strips.But Weixiao granule(200-280 mg·ml-1) could reduce the contractility of rat gastric and intestine smooth muscle strips. BACKGROUND:The kidney tissues easily affected exercise ischemia reperfusion, increased free radicals and inflammation, resulted in abnormal renal function after acute exercise. OBJECTIVE:To observe the influence of Blackcurrant Extract on the structure of kidney and expression of tumor necrosis factor-α and nuclear factor-κB at 24 hours after exhaustiveexercise. METHODS:A total of 30 male Wistar rats were randomly divided into three groups (n=10). Rats in the Blackcurrant Extract group were intragastricaly administered 0.44 g/kg Blackcurrant Extract. Rats in the quietness control group and 24-hour exhaustive exercise group were intragastricaly given an equal volume of distiled water for 6 consecutive weeks. Objective:To discuss effects of beta-cypermethrin on male mice sperm motility. Methods:60 g healthy ICR mice with the body weight of 25-35g were randomly divided into 6 groups: high, medium and low three dose groups, solvent group, blank control group (normal saline) and cyclophosphamide positive control group. Except cyclophosphamide positive control group, the other groups were given the drug at 0. 2ml/ 10g by gavage for 5 days, then killed 7d and 14d after the exposure. Through 40× light micro-scope, the numbers of sperm fast motion, slow motion to stay straight, non-moving forward, not moving sperm were recorded, and 1000 complete sperms of a mouse were involved. Results: This experiment showed that the difference of sperm fast motion, slow motion to stay straight, non-moving forward, not moving sperm among the six groups were statistically significant. Conclusions: Beta-cyper-methrin has effects on the sperm ability of the mice.

A polysaccharide fraction obtained from Cordyceps militaris fruit bodies by hot water extraction (100 ℃,3 h),protein removal using the Sevag method,and ethanol precipitation was evaluated for anti-fatigue effects.Male ICR mice (96)were randomly divided into four equal groups,three of which wereadministered different doses (low dosage,75 mg/kg BW;medium dosage 150 mg/kg BW;high dosage 450 mg/kg BW)of polysaccharide daily for 40 days,and a control group given distilled water.At this point, the fatigue model was established by transferring the mice to a tank of water,and the effects of the polysaccharide fraction on the exhaustive swimming time,liver and muscle glycogen levels,blood lactic acid level,and serum lactate dehydrogenase (LDH)and superoxide dismutase (SOD)activities were determined.
