To improve the design efficiency of wheelsets of high-speed bogie,a performance orien-ted parametric design method is proposed based on the parametric design theory.The core design parameters of the wheel are identified on the basis of the correlation analysis between structural parameters and dynamics,and structural parameters and strength performance parameters.By u-sing these design parameters,the parametric 3D model of wheelsets is modeled automatically.The dynamics and strength can be analyzed by 3D model of the wheelset.The design optimization can be actuated quickly by modifying the associated design parameters.The result of the example shows that the design parameter of wheelsets and the design method are reasonable and accurate-ly.

To increase the flexibility of the product design ,the adaptable design is effectively inte-grated with the concept of product family .On the basis of analyzing the existing product plat-forms ,the parametric and modular product platforms were unified into a product platform based on design parameter ,and a new design method of adaptability-oriented flexible product platform was presented .The axiomatic design theory was utilized as framework to zigzaging mapping be-tween functional requirements and design parameters and design matrix was established . In the process of initial parachute design, some parameters should be chosen by the experience of designers without standard rule, which leads to a long time to adjust these parameters to meet the initial target after the geometrical design being finished. We define those parameters that lack certain rules but affect the design result as Alternative-Parameters(AP) in this article. Design deviations of area and porosity are considered and the sensitivities of AP that are related to these deviations are analysed, which form a basic conclusion that can be a reference for designers to eliminate the initial design deviation and make the process of ringsail design shorter and more efficient.
