This paper discussed the construction of the eva- cuation aisles, studying the possibility of using refuge walk- ways in other civil and industrial buildings. Combining with some domestic engineering examples, the author analyzed how to guarantee the fire safety of evacuation aisles and hoped to have reference for extending the use of refuge passageways in the fire protection design of buildings.

Most restaurants was disposed on downtown or residential areas in large city. The noise and fumes are one of the factors affecting the surrounding environment. This article described the noise intensity of the restaurant about Emerald Square, put forward to install a large sound barrier outside the window on the second floor walkway and install muffler outside more than 120 air conditioner outdoor units. After these measures, it achieved the sound environmental standards for Class 2, and solved the long-term problem for noise between restaurants and residential.

The SG-5-A-I solar greenhouse obtained the national utility model patent, and was one of the fifth generation of standard digging-down greenhouses. It is in steel arching structure with single-row pillars. Its rear slope is short, and the rear pillars are very close to the rear wall at the northern side of the passageway. The rear wall is rammed with soil. Its inner span is 9-13 m, and the cultivation beds are 0.4-1.2 m lower than the ground. The solar greenhouse has good temperature-keeping performance, and it is suitable for the area with northern latitude of 34°-38°. This paper introduced the structure parameters, building materials and construction techniques of SG-5-A-I solar greenhouse, and showed its innovativeness practical applicability.

The HVAC systems are designed for a hotel in Songpan, which has a total building area of 7647.1m2, 12 floors and a height of 46.2 m. In this design only consider is heating in winter according to the climatic characteristics. Primary air fan-coil systems are employed in guest room areas (the 4th floor to the 12th floor), with a primary air system for each floor. Ceiling mounted air-handle-units are used in lager spaces such as the gym, KTV (1st-4th floor); in the 1st-4th floor two primary air systems and exhaust ventilation systems are designed respectively. Two vacuum gas/oil boilers are used. A variable-primary-flow two-pipe water system is selected with an expansion tank on the roof. Smoke extraction systems and positive pressure mechanical air supply systems are designed according to national codes.
