Professor W ang Jusheng has practiced traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) for more than 30 years. She has experiences in the treatment of various diseases with an open mind and unique medication style. Her medication selection is bold but cautious with obvious curative effect. This article introduced the flexible clinical application of four TCM herbs, which are peony, bamboo shavings, clematis root and zaocys dhumnades in order to provide inspira-tion and guidance for TCM clinical practitioners and researchers.

观察六味地黄汤加味联合盐酸左西替利嗪片治疗老年糖尿病皮肤瘙痒症的疗效和安全性。方法:66例老年糖尿病皮肤瘙痒症患者随机分治疗组和对照组,各33例。治疗组采用六味地黄汤加味(熟地黄、山萸肉、山药、丹皮、泽泻、茯苓、蝉蜕、僵蚕、乌梢蛇)联合盐酸左西替利嗪片治疗;对照组单纯采用盐酸左西替利嗪片治疗。结果:治疗组有效率为84.84%,对照组有效率为63.63%,二者差异有统计学意义(P0.05);治疗组不良反应6.06%,对照组不良反应15.15%(P0.05),二者差异无统计学意义。结论:六味地黄汤加味联合盐酸左西替利嗪片治疗老年糖尿病皮肤瘙痒症安全有效。

Objective: To observe the efficacy and safety of the Liuwei Dihuang decoction combined with levocetirizine hydrochloride tablets in the treatment of elderly diabetic pruritus. Methods:66 cases of elderly diabetic pruritus were randomly divided into treated group and control group, 33 cases each. The treated group using the Liuwei Dihuang decoction (Shudihuang, Shanyurou, Shanyao, Danpi, Zexie, Fuling, Chantui, Jiangcan, Wushaoshe) combined with levocetirizine hydrochloride tablets in the treatment; The control group using levocetirizine hydrochloride tablets. Results:The efficiency of the treated group was 84.84%and the control group 63.63%, thedifference was statistically significant (P 0.05). Conclusion: Using Liuwei Dihuang decoction and levocetirizine hydrochloride tablets to treat elderly diabetic pruritus is a safe and effective therapy.
