在五四新文学中,"家"成为众多作家关注的焦点,也成了启蒙者反封建的阵地。同样,作为家庭的核心父亲、母亲形象也频繁地在鲁迅的小说中出现。在文本细读之下,发现在鲁迅的表述中父亲不只是专制家长,母亲不只是慈爱;父亲和母亲形象都是多样、复杂且隐秘零散的。在后期鲁迅的回忆性散文中不断出现父亲的影子,在日记和书信中又不断出现对母亲的表达,这些小说中父亲、母亲形象和散文、日记、书信中的关于父亲、母亲的记述又与通常表达的"孝子鲁迅"、"爱憎分明的鲁迅"有着很大的出入,呈现出复杂的现象。
