Based on the data from 2002 to 2013, the paper calculates the carbon emissions of all forms of energy in Ningbo by using the IPCC carbon emission calculation methods. Using LMDI model, the paper makes an analysis of the effects of economic development, energy mix and energy efficiency and other factors on Ningbo per capita carbon emissions. The results show that Ningbo carbon emissions and per capita carbon emissions have emerged as a clear upward trend for decades. Such factors as economic development, energy mix and energy efficiency significantly affect the per capita carbon emissions of Ningbo. To reduce pressure on carbon emissions in Ningbo City, we can optimize the energy structure, adjust the industrial structure and improve energy efficiency.

Located in the east of Zhejiang province, Ningbo city is such a coastal area that is subject to flooding. Based on the study on 5 counties and 6 districts of Ningbo city, an assessment of capacity of flood disaster prevention and reduction is made using 16 selected indicators, including economic and environmental information. The evaluation technique adopts the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation (FCA). The results show that the capacity of flood disaster prevention and reduction is ranked high in Ningbo metropolitan (including Haishu, Jiangdong and Jiangbei districts ), followed by Zhenhai district. The capacity is ranked relatively low in Beilun district, Yinzhou and Ninghai, Xiangshan, Fenghua, Yuyao, with Cixi being the lowest. This research can serve as a practical reference in the decision-making for the flood prevention and reduction in Ningbo city.

In this paper, the author adopts the material flow analysis (MFA) to study the material inputs and outputs of economic system of Ningbo city based on the data collected from 2005 to 2011. The relationship between economic growth and environmental pressure is explored, and the important factors which influence the environmental pressure are taken into consideration in the analysis. The results show that, from 2005 to 2011, material inputs and outputs of Ningbo have been growing at an average annual rate of 8.8% and 9.1%respectively, and that economic development in Ningbo tends to increasingly depend on importation. With reference to the EKC, the author comes to a conclusion that, at present, Ningbo has not reached the stage of post-industrialization yet, and the economy is still growing with the traditional fashion featuring high consumption and high emission, which has imposed the enormous pressure on resources conservation and environment protection. In order to study the concentration of carbon with season change in Ningbo City, samples were collected in January, March, Augest,November, 2010. The correlation between OC and EC is significant in PM10 ,which showed the source of OC and EC was the same in genera1. Moreover,the average OC/EC ratios in PM10 of the sites all exceeded 2?0. It suggested that there existed secondary organic carbon in ambient air of Ningbo. The average mass concentration of SOC in autumn was significantly higher than in other seasons. The percentage of eight carbon fractions in PM10 indicated that coal combustion,vehicle exhaust and road dust were primary sources of particulate pollution of Ningbo in winter.

The three-dimensional dynamic spatial localization datum of Ningbo city com-prises Ningbo Continuous Operating Reference Station (NBCORS)and quasigeoid.Based on the land subsidence monitoring second-class leveling report of Ningbo city,the static GPS and NBCORS-RTK height accuracy was calculated and the feasibility of carrying on the land subsidence monitoring was also analyzed.The result shows that the static GPS can meet the accuracy requirement for carrying on the land subsidence monitoring and NBCORS-RTK can-not meet the requirement,but instructive for the proj ects with the large area and long dura-tion.
