The microwave-assisted technology was employed to extract raffinose from cottonseed meal without gossypol.Effects of microwave time,microwave power ratio,material liquid ratio and pH value on extraction rate of raffinose by the single factor and orthogonal experiments were studied.The best ex-tract conditions of raffinose were obtained.Raffinose was purified by micro-filtration membrane and nano-filtration membrane technology.The results showed that the best extract conditions were:microwave time 9 min.,microwave power ratio 650W,material liquid ratio 1:10,pH=2.5.In these conditions,the extrac-tion rate of raffinose was 9 1 .5%.After purification by micro-filtration membrane purifying and nano-filtra-tion membrane enrichment,the purity of raffinose was 9 5%.

Raffinose is a functional oligosaccharide that can be used in food, cosmetics and organ transplant engineering. Currently, the separation of raffinose and proteins is a problem. Gel permeation chromatography was used to separate raffinose and BSA, and factors such as gel packing type, temperature, mobile phase composition and feed concentration were investigated. An optimized chromatographic condition was using Toyopearl HW-40C as the stationary phase and deionized water as the mobile phase with a flow rate of 1.82 BV?h-1. Moreover, the process was operated at 40°C with feed concentrations up to 100 mg?mL-1. A raffinose recovery of 64.8%and purity of 89.1%are obtained from raffinose extract under such conditions. This method is simple and effective in removing plant proteins for oligosaccharide purification.

In order to screen the suitable culture medium of Ganoderma lucidum in Zhuhai, four kinds of wood materials and different ratio of wood materials for Ganoderma lucidum cultivation were studied in this paper. The results showed that when cultivation with Taiwan Acacia sawdust and the ratio of wood material: cotton seed shell being 1:1, the comprehensive characters including mycelium growth, fruiting body morphology, yield and active components of Ganoderma lucidum were the best. In general, the optimized culture medium formula for Ganoderma lucidum cultivation in Zhuhai was: wood 35%, cottonseed shell 35%, wheat bran 20%, corn powder 6%, sugar 1%, gypsum 1%, calcium carbonate 1%, potassium dihydrogen phosphate 1%, water 60%.

Mungbean (Vigna radiata) is an important crop that has various beneficial functions such as antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities. However, the metabolites in mungbean have only been partially identified and quantified in previous studies. In this study, we systematically identified and assigned 48 metabolites in mungbean (Elü No.4) seeds with J-RES, COSY, TOCSY, HSQC, HMBC and 2D NMR spectra. In particular, the composition of raffinose family oligosaccharides in the extracts was determined using DOSY experiments. Most of the metabolites in the extracts were quantified. This study will provide useful information for mungbean metabolomic and nutritional studies.

This experiment was conducted to develop a low-cost yeast liquid medium which was used in indus-trial production and had a good growth effect. In this study,eight kinds of local agricultural products were used as fermentation substrate. The components of the medium were designed by uniform design and the yeast viable count in the liquid medium after fermentation and the content of yeast polysaccharide was determined to select the best carbon source and nitrogen source. Then the composition of the liquid medium was determined by measuring the ratio of composite carbon source and composite nitrogen source and inorganic salts addition. The results showed that the composition of the yeast liquid culture included anhydrous glucose(0.9%),molasses (4. 5%), wheat bran ( 3. 6%), corn distillers dried grains with solubles ( 0. 3%), cottonseed meal (0.275%),yeast extract(0.075%)and(NH3)2SO4(0.08%).The inorganic salts included KH2PO4(0.3%), MgSO4(0.03%)and CaCl2(0.03%). Ramie bones (A), bones, shells of ramie mixture (B), ramie bones, shells and leaves mixture (C) were sep-arated from by-products of ramie , and then were used to replace cotton seed hulls in traditional culture medium formula for Pleurotus ostreatus, and a Pleurotus ostreatus culture experiment was conducted with traditional recipes as control.The results indicated that:mycelium growth rate in treatment A and B reached 0.60 mm/d, which was significantly faster than that of CK and the mycelium full bag date was 0.7 day earlier than that of CK.The first wave of Pleurotus ostreatus in treatment B reached 182.3 g, and the quality of mushroom was better , the mushroom body was larger , and protein and sugar content were higher , in which sugar content in treatment A , B and C was about 16% higher than that of CK , and protein content in treatment A and B was higher than that of CK.

Functional characteristics, such as solubility, water retention capability, oil retention capabili-ty, emulsification and emulsion stability, foamability and foam stability of cottonseed protein products were introduced, and the applications of cottonseed protein products in the fields of food, feed and fermentation were discussed.

The digestible energy( DE)and analyzed proximate composition and the prediction model of DE of degossypolized cottonseed protein( DCP)by its analyzed proximate composition for growing pigs were investi-gated in this experiment,and DCP were collected in main producing areas of China. A total of 12 Duroc × Landrance×Largewhite castrate male pigs with(32.0±2.3)kg initial body weight were allotted to two 6×6 Latin square designs. The diets included 1 kind of basic diet and 11 kinds of trial diets which were replaced 18% of the basic diet by DCP. The DE of 11 kinds of DCP was determined with total feces collection method and difference method. The regression equation was established on the basis of the correlation between DE and proximate composition of DCP. The results showed that the mean of DE( air-dry basis)of DCP for pigs was (11.67±0.82)MJ/kg,and there were no significant differences in DE of DCP from different areas.
