Several key nodes on the river bend protection,including functions of cut-off projects,engineering layout and structures,were emphatically introduced. After several years of operation and observation,the constructed projects almost reached the goals of comprehensive treatment,which including realignment of normal condition based on consideration of flood and low water;guarantee the safety of water conveyance dikes,the flood delivery capability and the stable mean-water flow path.

Based on the comprehensive treatment project of the Xinzhou River , the ecological restoration of rivers is demonstrated .The status of flood control , water quality and ecological landscape of the Xinzhou River are analyzed .A comprehensive treatment concept based on ecological restoration is proposed .Specific measures are introduced on flood control, river bank reconstruction, pollution treatment, reuse of reclaimed water and landscaping .Practice shows that the requirement of flood control is satisfied and a good ecological landscape is also obtained after the comprehensive eco -logical restoration of Xinzhou River .
