JCR中收录的期刊范围近8 000余种,很多期刊几乎不引用其他学科的期刊,也不被其他学科的期刊引用,因此基于全部期刊范围的特征因子分值不利于不同学科的期刊比较,尤其是那些封闭性较强的学科。因此,在特征因子模型和算法的基础上,以2008-2010三年JCR收录的生物学和经济学的外文期刊为例,在学科范围内利用自编软件计算出它们的特征因子值,,探析期刊排名变化产生的原因和影响因素,验证小学科期刊特征因子在生物学和经济学期刊内的有效性。
