The sources of tocopherols and tocotrienols were introduced, the common separation and purification methods,the relevant technical route,the corresponding advantages and disad-vantages and application scope of these methods and routes were emphatically introduced. Catalyzed by ethylenediamine,the esterification of α-Tocopheryl succinate (α-TOS) with and suecinic anhydride were stud-ied.The experimental resultα-Tocopherol s show that solvent with esters is good for the reaction. In this experiment,we use isobutyl acetate and ethylenediamine for the esterification ofα-Tocopheryl succinate (α-TOS) withα-Tocopherol and suecinic anhydride. Increasing the dosage of ethylenediamine and the ratio of suecinic anhydride and α-Tocopherol are propitious to improve the conversion rate of reaction,but when the temperature is less than 60℃, temperature has not distinctness effect to conversion rate.For the experimental,we can see under the preferable con-dention the conversion rate is 81.2%.

The bleaching temperature,bleaching time,decolorization clay dosage were researched by single factor test and orthogonal test,to research the loss of corn oil tocopherols during bleaching. The effects of the variables on the tocopherols content decreased in the order:bleaching time>decolorization clay dosage>bleaching temperature. The results showed that under the condition of the bleaching temperature 105℃,bleaching time 20 min,decolorization clay dosage 2.5%,the loss of tocopherolswas 9.3%,and the decolorization oil color was Y35R3.2. The color reached the secondary oil standard.

The effects of β-carotene, sterol, phospholipids and tocopherols on the color reversion of oil were investigated by oven test at 105℃ and storage under visible light for 30 d and in the dark for 30 d with medium chain triacylglycerol ( MCT) as study model. The results indicated that neitherβ-carotene nor sterol had effect on the color reversion of oil. Although the phospholipids could result in the darkening of oil, the reversible color change of the oil was not observed. It disclosed that phospholipids were not the major reason of color reversion of oil. Slight loss of tocopherols could bring significant color reversion of oil, therefore, the main influence factor of color reversion of oil should be tocopherols.

Vitamin E has effects on human immunity, anti-cancer and prevention of cardiovascular disease. Vitamin E from soy-bean has the advantages of higher security and higher human body absorption rate. The objective of the present study was to map the additive, additive × additive (epistasis), additive × year and epistasis × year QTLs for vitamin E and relative tocopherol con-tents with the RIL population BIEX (Essex×ZDD2315) using HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography) method and soft-ware QTLNetwork 2.1. Eight additive QTLs and twelve additive × additive (epistasis) QTLs were detected for vitamin E and relative tocopherol contents. The contributions to the phenotypic variances of additive QTL and epistatic QTL pairs were 8.68%(two QTLs) and 15.57% (four pairs) for α-tocopherol, 8.59% (two QTL) and 11.57% (two pairs) for γ-tocopherol, 5.44% (one QTL) and 17.61% (three pairs) for δ-tocopherol and 11.39% (three QTL) and 9.48% (three pairs) for total vitamin E contents

Objective To establish a rapid method for simultaneous determination of retinoid,α-tocopherol, lutein andβ-carotene in human milk by high performance liquid chromatography. Methods The human milk sample was saponified and extracted with a mixture of petroleum ether and diethyl ether. The sample was separated after concentration by a C30 column and detected by the UV detector and FLD detector. Results The method showed a good linearity over with R2>0.9990. The recoveries at three spiked levels were between 70%~120%. The relative standard deviation was less than 20%. Conclusion The purity of standard was analyzed using HPLC after standardization with UV spectrometer, thus the accuracy of the method was improved. The method validation showed a high accuracy, sensitivity and stability. This method could be used to simultaneous determination of retinoid, α-tocopherol, lutein and β-carotene in human milk.
