Taking a typical turret FPSO as research object, this paper carries out the relevant calculation and comparative analysis of FPSO and its mooring system by AQWA software which is a large marine engineering software capable of coupled hydrodynamic and time-domain analysis. Firstly, it builds modeling and mesh by ANSYS, and carries out the hydrodynamic analysis with potential theory by AQWA-LINE. Then it performs static force calculation, comparative analysis of motion response and calculation of tensile force of anchor chain under the water depth of 914.4m, 1 800 m and 3 000 m. Finally it obtains the change law of static force, motion response and tensile force of anchor chain with variation of the water depth for FPSO platform.

The extreme marine weather occurs frequently in recent years, which imperils the safety of floating, pro?duction, storage and offloading( FPSO) mooring system. Aiming at this problem, the paper starts from the analysis of the residual strength of mooring ropes in service for many years, assesses the environment parameters that influ?ence the ship motion and provides the mooring rope''s safety factor. The quasi?static method is used to assess the scope of environment grade and an FPSO system on the South China Sea is chosen to build the computation model for the coupling of mooring system. Applying the AQWA?DRAFT and AQWA?NAUT modules to do coupling analy?sis of the mooring system by nonlinear method in time domain, ascertaining the station keeping ability on the prem?ise of satisfying the coefficient stipulated in code, forecasting the combination of extreme wind, wave and current that the mooring system can bear, and the corresponding typhoon class. In order to explore the external dynamic mechanism of the collision between ship and offshore platform under the random wave, non-linear finite element method was used to establish the three-dimensional finite ele-ment model of semi-submersible platform and supply ship stern.The sequential results of collision force were ob-tained by DYNA.And on the basis, the hydrodynamic performance of the semi-submersible platform was ob-tained by AQWA under the collision force, flow, wind and waves.

Finally ,it obtains the rule of the overall strength and reliability during the whole life-cycle for the current semi-submersible platform.

The operation of pipe-laying vessel in subsea pipeline offshore installation is dynamic and complex process, in order to give the reasonable analysis of pipe laying vessel mooring scheme, based on the ANSYS-AQWA software, considering wind load, current load and wave load, the coupled analysis between pipe-laying vessel and mooring system is brought out in the time domain. According to the analysis process of multi-point positioning mooring system of marine engineering vessel is given, and take the strength assessment of mooring system, the maximum displacement of the movement on each direction, the simple operation into consideration to analysis the operating mooring scheme of pipe-laying vessel. According to the analysis results from this paper, the optimum scheme is obtained to guide the actual project. The results show that, the methods from this article has engineering application and analysis results can be used as a practical reference.

In this paper , hydrodynamic interactions of a single point moored FPSO-tanker system in tandem off-loading operation , and motion responses of FPSO and barge within internal turret in different positions are calcu -lated by the hydrodynamic analysis software AQWA .The effect of weathervane and transmission security when the internal turret is in different positions is analyzed .The result shows that loading conditions have great impact on hydrodynamic interactions , and barge has great interference on FPSO hydrodynamic during tandem offloading operation while the low-frequency wave is incoming .The turret location significantly affects the weathervane , and under the 4 working conditions , the condition when the turret locates 25%of the ship length away from the ship bow is the most reasonable .FPSO and barge have strong weathervane and effects it is safer for oil transporting . The conclusion will be helpful in the design of the BTM and its oil transfer system .

In this paper , the influence of BTM ( Buoyant Turret Mooring ) system parameters on dynamic re-sponse of FPSO system was analyzed by software AQWA .The influence of parameters , such as turret location , materials distribution , pre-tension of mooring lines , the number of mooring lines , layout of mooring lines etc ., on dynamic response of FPSO system was analyzed quantitatively .Several characteristics were comparatively ana-lyzed for each mooring parameter .The results showed that when turret was located at 25%Lpp, the system had best weather vane and positioning effect .If 9%chain,90% polyester,1%chain was taken as multi-component mooring line, and mooring lines were arranged as 3groups ×3/group, the system would have positioning effect and the lines would have minimum force .An optimized proposal of mooring system was suggested by comprehen-sively considering the horizontal displacement of FPSO and the safety factor of mooring lines .The result showed that the optimized mooring
