When the operating modes of power grid has changed , the protection setting may not be suitable for the present oper-ating mode, therefore, it needs checking some of the protection setting .However, there are many protections needing to be checked in the large and complex power grid , the checking is difficult to be completed in a short time , which results in chec-king risk for power grid .Therefore , if those protections which have great influence on power system can be identified after the malfunction so as to be checked and adjusted preferentially , it will reduce the checking risk of power system obviously .On this basis, the influence of protection malfunction on the structure and state is taken into account , and the formula of protection im-portance is put forward in order to decide the checking sequence according to the ranking results of protection importance .At last, the simulation analysis of IEEE 14 bus system proves the feasibility and availability of the proposed method

An examination corresponding limit load cases and ultimate load cases is clarified. Sense line intensity examination is carried out and results show the design can meet all design requirements.

ABSTRACT:Bus load forecasting lays a good foundation for power system steady-state security correction. However, in engineering practice, with the development of power grid, the number of N-1/N-2 correction scenario increases in a geometric way, and the complexity of each correction scenario also increases. Virtual bus is one type of the closely connected local electric networks in the grid. Virtual bus technique can be used to identify active line constraints that significantly affect power system operation in advance, thus helpful to handle the above problems. This paper firstly identified several virtual buses towards the critical transmission sections/lines. On this basis, an emergency line set was constructed, which included the critical lines, corresponding influenced lines and influencing lines. Then, steady-state security correction was performed based on the emergency line set. Finally, case studies based on real data of Hebei Southern Power Grid testified the effectiveness of

Scheduled power flow is the key function in security check.According to the hierarchical dispatching mode of China power grid,a scheduled power flow algorithm based on multi-section power flow control technology is proposed.Voltage and reactive power automatic adj ustment and intelligent adj ustment for non-convergence of power flow are used to improve convergence and rationality.Day-ahead schedule security check for multi-level dispatching is studied.The practicability is enhanced by checking schedule data and counting some technical indices.
